īśvara uvāca ||

śṛṇu devi pavakṣyāmi sāṃprataṃ tvatpuraḥ paraṃ |

sahasranāmaparamaṃ sumukhyāḥ siddhaye manoḥ || 1 ||

sahasranāmapāṭhī yaḥ sarvatra vijayī bhavet |

parābhavo na tasyāstre sabhāyāṃ vāraṇe raṇe || 2 ||

tathā tuṣṭhā bhaved devī sumukhī vāsya pāṭhataḥ |

tathā bhavati deveśi sādhakaḥ śiva eva saḥ || 3 || (fol. 1v1–3)

catuṣpathe ʼrddharātre ca yaḥ paṭhat(!) sādhakottamaḥ ||

ekākī nirmamo dhīro daśāvartyaṃ striyottamaṃ || 124 ||

manasā ciṃtitaṃ kāryaṃ tasya sidha(!)ty asaṃśayaṃ ||

vinā sahasranāmnā yo japen maṃtraṃ kadācana || 125 ||

na siddho jāyate tasya maṃtraḥ kalpaśatair api ||

kuṃjaṃ vāre śmaśāne vā madhyāhne jo japen naraḥ || 126 ||

śatāvṛtyā sa jāyeta kartā hartā nṛṇām iha |

rogārtto ʼrddhaniśāyāṃ cej japaty aṃbhasi saṃsthitāṃ || 127 ||

sadyo nīrogatām eti yadi syān nirbhayas tadā ||
